Getting Ready for the Halloween

Here's my friendly ghost, they have been thru thunderstorms, rain and wind. They can fly too! After a storm I go ghost hunting and find them all over the yard.

Best Friends are really special. We talk about how wonderful to have them, but we don't talk about the pain of losing them.
The love you feel for a close girl friend is different from a love relationship but it is not less meaningful. We met 24 years ago at HP on a production line. Little did I know that I would meet my best friend. We would go on to move in different parts of the company and even on different shifts but our connection was always there by having lunch or phone calls. We had 14 years of getting together for holidays, dinners and just getting together.
"Carol” and I had a long distance relationship,". "We talked at least three times a week, sometimes more often. We were two time zones away but for 10 years since I moved away, we worked around that. We made a point of getting together 2 or 3 times a year. I love my husband, but loving Carol is a different kind of love.
"She was the first person I called when Ross asked me to marry him, even before I called my mom and kids. Whenever Ross and I are at odds, she is always there to listen to me vent about him, to help me see the situation more realistically, and to walk me through the mess with him.
"We used to joke what would we do without each other. I guess I'm going to find out. Six months ago she was diagnosed with pancretic cancer. She was the positive one as she went into surgery, even after surgery she stll remained tough going to beat this. With the news that the cancer has spread and was a very aggressive kind, she was more concerned about her children and others. She died yesterday August 18th 2009. I know she hung in for her son Dan whose 40th birthday was the 16th.
She's my best friend, my soul, my stabilizer, my special other half, in a way Ross - as much as I love him - can't be. But she's just my friend, so life expects me to carry on.
I know she expects that of me to.

Coffee Cup
My wonderful husband got me an embroidery sewing machine. So Kristy gave me the idea . I tracked down these cups for Kristy and Kelly and mailed them with jelly beans inside for easter.

I tried to do a Lady Bug if you can tell. My advice is never use whipped frosting. It wants to melt.

Pub cakes as Lukas would call cupcakes. Katelan and I had so much fun making these. It was good to have her home.
